Simple Techniques to Release
Pain Without The Use of Force

About

Hi there! Eileen Jeboult here, from Ortho-Bionomy Brisbane, registered Senior Practitioner & Advanced Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy with 30 years' experience. In Switzerland in the late 90s, I was privileged enough to study Ortho-Bionomy under its founder, Dr. Arthur Lincoln Pauls; Today, I live and work in Brisbane, treating members of the community from my clinic room in Mitchelton.

My therapeutic approach blends western action with an eastern introspective nature. When each client comes to me for a session, I approach them as a unique individual free of judgement or agenda with respect for their experience. As Ortho-Bionomy is a principle based modality rather than one endowed with a rigid set of techniques, it allows me to work with a wide range of issues with the knowledge and confidence that each person has the ability to self-correct. Learning and re-learning patterns is what the brain is programmed to do, and correcting structural and postural problems is a reflexive response our brains have hard-wired in them - the body simply needs a reminder of what it has forgotten.

I offer Ortho-Bionomy treatments for adults and children, professional training to students and offer support with curriculum development to instructors and practitioners. I run courses all over Australia as well as my home base in Brisbane. I connect easily with people and approach teaching with a light-hearted, humorous nature. I love passing on the valuable knowledge and skills Ortho-Bionomy has brought to my life. I am drawn to help free people from pain and do so successfully by teaching others to integrate the principles of Ortho-Bionomy into their work and everyday lives. My focus is on teaching as it brings me immense fulfilment to see the achievements students experience through this work; it benefits us all.

Student training fees are between $150-$175 for the day depending on distance. Please visit the Ortho-Bionomy Courses page for information on upcoming courses, or the Contact page to arrange a treatment or training.

What is Ortho-Bionomy

….Means the corrective application of the life force.

Ortho-Bionomy is a unique and complete system of natural healing which achieves relaxation and release quickly and painlessly. No pain is used to release pain. Comfort is used as a tool, no forceful manipulations are used ever! Instead we use gentle, non invasive moves around affected areas, by applying light compression or traction into the joints. We work directly with the nervous system to release muscles, realign bones & joints which in turn increase range of movement; pain & tension in acute as well as chronic issues.

The stability of the structure governs function. The stability of the joints is essential for the efficient functioning of the body. When your joints are unstable the body compensates by using muscles incorrectly creating muscle spasms & decreased range of movement. The seemingly “ miraculous” aspect of Ortho -Bionomy is the self corrective capacity the body has to find homeostasis or balance. When the body is offered this stimuli, or the corrective application of the laws of life , it responds instantly. Making it highly effective.

Developed by Canadian Osteopath Dr Arthur Lincoln Pauls, in the 60 ‘s he developed this system using principles from martial arts, homeopathy and osteopathy.

How can Ortho-Bionomy help?

Ortho-Bionomy's gentle movements and positioning of the body work on naturally occurring trigger points in muscles to relieve pain, reduce stress, promote structural and postural balance, increase personal awareness and release acute and chronic tension held in the body.

Ortho-Bionomy can help you gain improvements in a wide variety of physical as well as mental conditions, including injuries such as whiplash, frozen shoulder, and even broken bones. It can help with structural problems such as scoliosis, postural problems like rotated hips, collapsed arches, and chronic or acute pain issues in the neck, lower back, knee, ankle and foot. Ortho-Bionomy can correct problems in the body that are causing you tension headaches, bunions and issues occurring after an operation.

As the body returns to its natural state of balance, depression and anxiety will lift. Neurological dysfunction, hormonal imbalances & related women's issues all respond to Ortho-Bionomy. When i am asked can Ortho help a particular issue i say, it will reduce the extreme symptoms & increase your comfort & well being.

What do I treat?

Anyone in a body!

Ortho-Bionomy is simple to apply in its nature and can be effectively taught to anyone, making it accessible to people of all different ages and with different life experiences. Despite its simplicity, Ortho-Bionomy is incredibly powerful, showing up many mainstream therapies which employ the use of forceful physical movement, pressure and sometimes the use of harsh drugs with the mentality of "fixing" a patient. The Ortho-Bionomy approach believes in and works with the body's innate ability to self correct, rather than the therapist forcing the correction onto the client's body. I often find that clients come to me after they have a bad experience with some mainstream physical therapies, alternative methods, or with drugs prescribed to them as part of their therapy.
